PORTNABLAGH AT DUSK

PORTNABLAGH AT DUSK

Port na Bláiche, is Irish & means either 'port of the flowers' or 'harbour of the buttermilk', depending on he translation. It is a small village located on the West coast of County Donegal, and offers views across Sheephaven Bay towards Horn Head.
The small harbour is well protected on 3 sides and has a relatively short slipway which gets frequent use by fishing and pleasure boat owners, particularly during summer months.
This shot was taken at dusk on s Spring evening & I love the way the lights of the harbour shine on the water and the internal lights of some of the houses around the harbour are clearly visible.
