In County Antrim, not far from my home is the legendary Slemish Mountain, first known Irish home of Saint Patrick. The mountain rises about 1500 feet (437 metres) above the surrounding plain, and it is actually the central core of an extinct volcano.
The mountain and surrounding countryside are fantastic vistas for landscape photographers & due to the lack of light pollution here, it is a great dark sky area for astrophotography.
There are also a large number of sheep farms in this area and at lambing time there are plenty of photo opportunities.....
